Branch Undergraduate Council
Branch Councils
The structure of CSE includes branch councils, which function as advisory bodies on the School’s teaching, research, outreach and management activities, observing the decisions of the School Council and the higher councils at UFSC.
The branch councils are responsible for:
I – proposing, to the School Council, policies within the scope of its competence;
II – advising the School’s Dean on the preparation of institutional projects and on matters related to the area.
The Branch Undergraduate Council is composed by:
I – a representative of the Dean’s Office;
II – coordinators of the CSE undergraduate programs;
III – internship coordinators of the undergraduate programs;
IV – thesis coordinators of the undergraduate programs;
V –complementary activities coordinators;
VI – a student representative of each program, appointed by the student association of each respective program;
VII – a technical-administrative staff member from the Integrated Undergraduate Office, elected by their peers.
The responsibilities of the Branch Undergraduate Council are:
I – coordinating and articulating, along with other school units involved with undergraduate-level activities, the formulation, evaluation and monitoring of the CSE undergraduate policy, submitting it for approval by the School Council and respecting the provisions established by the UFSC Undergraduate Council;
II – supporting the evaluation processes of undergraduate programs;
III – supporting the review processes of undergraduate educational projects;
IV – promoting interdisciplinarity in the undergraduate programs;
V – articulating the integrated actions of internationalization;
VI – contributing to the functioning of the Structuring Faculty Group (NDEs) at CSE;
VII – giving opinions to support the decisions of the School Council on undergraduate matters;
VIII – proposing measures that contribute to student retention in the programs.
