Sectorial Chamber for Graduate Programs

Sectorial Chambers 

The structure of the CSE will dispose of sectorial chambers, which will work as consultive instances, in the scope of the unit, the teaching, research and extension activities and of administration,  barred deliberations from the Center’s Council and superior chambers of the UFSC.

The sectorial chambers shall have as general attributions:

I – propose to the Center’s Council the policies in the scope of its competence;

II – advising the Directorate of the Unit on the elaboration of institutional projects and matters of the area.

The Sectorial Chamber for Graduate Programs will be composed by:

I – a representative of the Directorate of the Unit;

II – coordinators of the graduate stricto sensu and lato sensu courses/programs of the CSE;

III – two student representatives, chosen amongst peers, who integrate a graduate program of the CSE;

IV – a representative of the technical-administrative staff in education who acts in a graduate program office, elected amongst peers.

To the Sectorial Chamber for Graduate Programs, lies:

I – coordinating and articulating, along other sectors which develop graduate-level activities in the Center, the formulation, evaluation and monitoring of graduate policy, submitting it to the approval of the Center’s Council, attending dispositions established by the Chamber for Graduate Programs of the UFSC;

II – subsidizing the evaluation processes of the graduate courses;

III – subsidizing the graduate programs in the refinement of their educational organization processes;

IV – supporting processes of educational project review;

V – incentivizing interdisciplinarity of the formative process of the programs;

VI – contributing to the graduate programs in the process of defining their ordinances of strategical planning, self-evaluation and accrediting and reaccrediting faculty;

VII – aiding in the elaboration of selection calls for graduate programs;

VIII – articulating the integrated actions of internationalization;

IX – subsidizing the participation of graduate programs in public aid calls;

X – emitting opinions for subsidizing opinions of the Center’s Council in matters related to the graduate-level programs;

XI – proposing measures that contribute with student permanence in courses.
