Postgraduate education in International Relations promotes lecture with Uziel Nogueira

The Postgraduate Program in International Relations / PPGRI / UFSC invites to the lecture Latin American Integration: Challenges and opportunities for Brazil to take place on September 23, 2011 (Friday), at 4 PM. The event will be at the Mini-auditorium of the Department of Economics and International Relations of the CSE/UFSC, on the Campus Universitário Reitor João David Ferreira Lima, Trindade, Florianópolis, SC.

The lecturer will be doctor in economics Uziel Nogueira, that worked as official of the Inter-American Development Bank between 1982 and 2009 and is currently consultant of the IDB, World Bank and IMF.

INCT-INEU promotes extension course with Katherine Caro

The Cultural Attaché of the U.S. Consulate in Sao Paulo, Katherine Caro, will hold a Extension Course, lasting four hours, on September 19th with the theme “The New Media and Its Role in U.S. Diplomacy. ”

World after September 11 is the main theme of RI’s Week

Between the days 13 and 16, the ten years of the terrorists attack of September 11 will be discussed during the Second Week of International Relations of UFSC. The short courses, debates, round tables and workshops will discuss topics related to international relations in the post-September 11, addressing issues such as terrorism, international security, international organizations, international political economy and foreign policy.

During the four days of the event, that will be held in the auditorium of Centro Sócio-Econômico (CSE), teachers Eduardo Viola of UnB, Luis Estrella Faria of UFRGS, Cristina Pecequilo of UNIFESP, Paul Visentini of UFRGS, Oswaldo Dehon of IBMEC and the General Acting Consul of the United States of America in Sao Paulo Mr. William Popp will give lectures within the theme “Decade of change: international relations in the post September 11th”
